Where to find ingredients
You can find these ingredients at any local supermarket, wet market (palengke), or neighborhood grocery store. Look for fresh produce in the vegetable section and fresh cuts of meat at the butcher counter.
Preparation method
- Wash the bell peppers well, cut off the top part to form a lid, and carefully remove all internal seeds
- In a pan, heat the 30 ml of oil and sauté the onion and garlic until they are lightly golden
- Add the ground beef to the pan and stir constantly so that it remains loose during cooking
- Cook until the liquid from the meat and onion has almost completely evaporated, keeping the meat moist and seasoned
- Remove the meat from the heat, mix in the olives, green herbs, salt, and black pepper, and finish by incorporating the chopped hard-boiled eggs
- Generously stuff each bell pepper with the ground beef mixture and place them in a baking dish previously greased with oil
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven for 10 minutes so that the bell peppers cook in the steam
- Carefully remove the aluminum foil and let it bake for another 5 minutes to finish cooking and lightly brown
