Where to find ingredients
You can find fresh bell peppers, ground meat, and all seasonings at local markets or grocery stores. Opt for fresh produce from the 'vegetables' section and good quality minced beef from a reliable butcher or the supermarket meat counter.
Preparation method
- Wash the bell peppers well, cut off the top part to form a lid, and carefully remove all internal seeds
- In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until lightly golden
- Add the ground meat to the pan and stir constantly so that it remains loose during cooking
- Cook until the liquid from the meat and onion has almost completely evaporated, keeping the meat moist and seasoned
- Remove the meat from the heat, mix in the olives, fresh herbs, salt, black pepper, and finish by incorporating the chopped hard-boiled eggs
- Stuff each bell pepper generously with the ground meat mixture and place them in a baking dish previously greased with oil
- Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and place in a preheated oven for 10 minutes so that the bell pepper cooks in the steam
- Remove the aluminium foil carefully and let it bake for another 5 minutes to finish cooking and lightly brown
