Ingredients
1 kg beef (chuck, shoulder, or shin) or pork loin, cut into large cubes
Optional: medium potatoes, peeled and cut into thick rounds
3 to 4 beef stock cubes
8 large onions, cut into thick rounds

Where to find ingredients
Look for the beef at the butcher’s counter or the meat section of the supermarket. Onions and potatoes are in the fresh produce aisle, and stock cubes are usually in the seasonings or soups aisle.
Preparation method
- Line the bottom of the pressure cooker with half of the onion rings
- Crumble 1 or 2 beef stock cubes over the onions
- Add the beef cubes over the onions
- Season the beef with the remaining stock cubes
- Cover the beef with the remaining onion rings
- Cover the pressure cooker and cook over medium heat for about 25 minutes after it reaches pressure
- Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally
- If you want to add potatoes, remove the onions from the top, add the potato slices, cover again and cook for another 10 minutes after it reaches pressure
- Wait for the pressure to release naturally before opening
