Where to find ingredients
Look for the ingredients in the baking aisle, dairy section, and fresh produce section of supermarkets or neighborhood markets. If needed, use guava paste as the closest substitute for goiabada.
Preparation method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Grease the molds with butter and dust with all-purpose flour; set aside
- In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar until smooth and well combined
- Add the grated Minas cheese to the mixture and stir well to incorporate
- Add the cream cheese and melted butter, mixing until uniform
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, stirring gently until you have a smooth, even batter
- Divide the batter among the prepared molds, filling each a little over halfway
- Place a cube of goiabada in the center of each portion of batter
- Cover with the remaining batter, without going over the rim of the molds
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until the edges set and the center stays creamy
- Carefully remove from the oven, unmold while still hot, and serve immediately
- If desired, serve with guava or passion fruit purée
