Ingredients
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
100 g unsalted margarine
1/2 cup ground walnuts
100 g dark chocolate
2 tablespoons corn glucose
3 tablespoons whole milk
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
100 g unsalted margarine
1/2 cup ground walnuts
100 g dark chocolate
2 tablespoons corn glucose
3 tablespoons whole milk
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Where to find ingredients
Look for the ingredients in the baking aisle, the flour and sugar section, the chilled margarine and butter case, and the confectionery aisle. If needed, substitute walnuts with pecans, keeping the original ingredient as the ideal choice.
Preparation method
- In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, plain flour, sugar, margarine and ground walnuts until you have a smooth dough
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (medium temperature)
- Grease and flour a baking tray
- Shape the dough into small balls and arrange them on the prepared tray
- Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the biscuits are lightly golden
- While the biscuits bake, make the filling: place the chopped dark chocolate, corn glucose, milk and butter in a bain-marie over low heat
- Stir constantly until you get a thick, smooth cream
- Remove the filling from the heat and let it cool slightly
- Once the biscuits have cooled, sandwich them two by two with the chocolate filling
