Ingredients
1 litre whole milk
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons cornflour
1 pack ladyfinger biscuits
1 can peaches in syrup
1 can table cream
3 tablespoons caster sugar
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons cornflour
1 pack ladyfinger biscuits
1 can peaches in syrup

Where to find ingredients
You can find all these ingredients at local supermarkets in Accra or regional markets. For the peaches in syrup, ensure you choose a high-quality brand found in the canned goods aisle. If you cannot find ladyfinger biscuits, sponge biscuits or standard tea biscuits make acceptable substitutes, though ladyfingers are preferred for their classic texture.
Preparation method
- Combine the cornflour
- the milk
- the condensed milk and the egg in a heavy-bottomed saucepan
- Cook over low heat
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens to a porridge-like consistency
- Line the bottom of a glass dish with a layer of ladyfinger biscuits
