Where to find ingredients

Preparation method
- Prepare the caramel by melting the 2 tablespoons of sugar in a large ring mould
- Spread the caramel well over the base and sides of the mould
- Cut the bread rolls into slices about 2 cm thick
- Arrange the bread slices in the base of the caramelised mould
- Blend the milk with the eggs and the 2 cups of sugar until smooth
- Mix the lemon zest into the liquid
- Pour the mixture over the pieces of bread in the mould
- Bake in a preheated oven in a bain-marie for 30 minutes
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before carefully unmoulding
Observations
This recipe turns simple ingredients into a delicious, creamy dessert. The key is to let the bread soak up the mixture well before baking.
