Ingredients
1 packet (approx. 200g) of plain cornstarch biscuits (usually sold in packs of 3 small stacks)
1 tin (395g) of condensed milk
500g roasted, skinless peanuts
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (or drinking chocolate powder)
1 tin (395g) of condensed milk
500g roasted, skinless peanuts
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (or drinking chocolate powder)
Where to find ingredients
Peanuts: Look for unsalted, roasted, and skinless peanuts in the snacks or baking aisle of your local supermarket. If unavailable, buy raw peanuts and toast them yourself.
Condensed Milk: Available in the baking or tinned goods section of any grocery store.
Cornstarch biscuits: These are commonly found in the biscuit aisle. If you cannot find a direct brand, any plain, crisp, shortbread-style or arrowroot-type tea biscuit works well as a substitute.
Cocoa powder: Standard baking cocoa or regular drinking chocolate powder can be found in the coffee, tea, or baking aisles of any shop.

Preparation method
- Toast the peanuts in a preheated oven or a dry pan until lightly golden and fragrant, taking care not to burn them as this causes bitterness
- Allow the toasted peanuts to cool completely before processing
- Add the cornstarch biscuits and the cooled, toasted peanuts into a food processor
- Pulse or process until you achieve a fine, uniform, crumb-like texture
- Pour the peanut and biscuit mixture into a large mixing bowl
- Add the cocoa powder to the mixture and combine thoroughly
- Gradually stir in the condensed milk, mixing continuously until the dough becomes firm and holds its shape
- Spread the mixture evenly into a small, shallow tray or baking tin
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until set and firm to the touch
- Cut into small squares or use cookie cutters to shape your paçoca
- Serve and enjoy!
