Method
- Remove the kernels from the corn ears by grating or cutting close to the cob
- Blend the corn kernels with water in a blender
- Add the grated coconut, sugar, and salt to the mixture
- Mix everything very well
- Prepare small portions of the batter using the corn husks
- Fold and tie the husks firmly so the filling does not leak
- Heat a large pot with water until it is intensely boiling
- Submerge the pamonhas one by one in the boiling water
- Maintain constant boiling to ensure the batter cooks properly without falling apart
- Cook for approximately 40 minutes
- Remove the pamonhas from the water using a slotted spoon
- Place them in a cool place to cool before serving
- Serve with coffee and grated cheese, if desired
