Where to find ingredients
Look for the ingredients in the baking aisle, the fresh produce section, and the dairy aisle at supermarkets or local grocery shops. If needed, use caster sugar instead of granulated sugar for a finer texture.
Preparation method
- Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth, even batter
- Grease a 36 x 24 cm baking tray with butter
- Line the bottom and sides of the baking tray with parchment paper
- Brush butter over the parchment paper and dust with breadcrumbs
- Preheat the oven to a low temperature
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray
- Bake for 50 minutes or until the surface is lightly golden
- Spread a clean tea towel over a flat surface
- Sprinkle sugar all over the tea towel
- Carefully turn the baking tray out onto the towel to unmould the cake
- Remove the parchment paper carefully
- Use the tea towel to roll up the batter from the shorter side, shaping it into a Swiss roll
- Transfer the Swiss roll to a serving platter
- Dust with icing sugar and finish the decoration with the orange zest strips
