Easy Homemade Paçoca (Paçoca)

Ingredients

1 packet of maisena biscuits (approximately 200 g, the pack that contains 3 smaller units)
1 can of sweetened condensed milk (395 g)
500 g roasted skinless peanuts
2 tablespoons of chocolate drink powder

Where to find ingredients

Find the ingredients in the biscuit aisle, baking section, and peanut or confectionery section of local supermarkets or neighbourhood shops. If needed, use ground biscuits as a substitute for maisena biscuits, but keep the original ingredient as the first choice.

Preparation method

  1. Toast the peanuts in a preheated oven or in a skillet until they are lightly golden and fragrant. Avoid toasting them too much so they do not turn bitter
  2. Let the peanuts cool completely after toasting
  3. In a food processor, add the maisena biscuits and the toasted peanuts
  4. Process everything until you have a fine, even crumb
  5. Transfer the peanut and biscuit mixture to a bowl
  6. Add the chocolate drink powder and mix well
  7. Gradually add the condensed milk, mixing until the dough becomes firm and mouldable
  8. Spread the dough evenly in a small, shallow pan
  9. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set before cutting
  10. Cut into small squares or use cutters to shape the paçoca
  11. Serve and enjoy!
