Stuffed Meatballs (Almôndega recheada)

Ingredients

Vegetable oil for frying
1 packet onion soup mix powder
1 egg
500 g ground beef
300 g grated mozzarella cheese

Where to find ingredients

Find the ingredients in the meat section, dairy aisle, eggs, and cooking oils aisle of local supermarkets or neighbourhood grocery shops. The onion soup mix may be substituted with a similar powdered onion soup mix if needed.

Preparation method

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg and packet of onion soup mix until you have a smooth mixture
  2. Take small portions of the meat mixture and flatten them in the palm of your hand
  3. Place a little grated mozzarella cheese in the centre of the opened mixture
  4. Carefully close the mixture around the cheese, shaping it into a meatball
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat
  6. Fry the meatballs in the hot oil for about 10 minutes, or until golden on all sides and cooked through

Observations

Stuffed meatballs are a classic dish in Brazilian cooking, perfect for anyone looking for flavour and convenience. The combination of juicy ground beef with melted mozzarella inside makes this recipe irresistible. Ideal for family meals or as a snack.
