Preparation method
- Chop the onion and garlic into small pieces
- Heat the olive oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat
- Sauté the onion with a pinch of salt until lightly golden
- Add the minced garlic
- Add the cumin and the bay leaf
- Sauté for approximately one minute so the spices release their aroma
- Incorporate the lentils
- Season with black pepper and one teaspoon of salt
- Mix the grains well so they are coated with all the spices
- Pour the water into the pot
- Close the lid and increase the heat
