Rice, water, and eggs are standard pantry staples found in any supermarket. Chicken bouillon cubes are available in the soup or international aisles of most grocery stores. Peeled tomatoes and tomato paste can be found in the canned goods section. Ham and mozzarella cheese are available at the deli counter or pre-packaged in the dairy section. Preparation method
- Dissolve one of the chicken bouillon cubes in a little hot water
- Place the peeled tomatoes, tomato paste, and dissolved bouillon in the blender
- Blend everything until you get a smooth sauce
- Cook the rice in a pot with the 4 cups of water and the other chicken bouillon cube for 15 minutes
- Lightly beat the eggs in a bowl
- Mix the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped ham, and mozzarella into the bowl with the eggs
- Incorporate this mixture into the hot cooked rice
- Spread a portion of the tomato sauce over the bottom of a baking dish
- Spread the rice mixture over the sauce
- Cover the surface of the dish with the remaining sauce
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 15 minutes until golden and bubbly
