Ingredients
1 kg shark (cação), a firm-fleshed and mild-flavored fish
1/2 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
Salt, black pepper, cilantro, and fresh green onions to taste
2 bottles of coconut milk, approximately 400 ml each
2 ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in a little water
4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1 lime, juiced for seasoning

Preparation method
- Season the fish with lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the tomatoes until soft
- Add the coconut milk to the pan and let it heat through
- Place the fish in the pan and cook for about 15 minutes, until tender and coated with the sauce
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste
- At the end of cooking, add the cilantro, green onions, and the dissolved cornstarch
- Mix well
- Let the sauce thicken for a few minutes and turn off the heat
