Where to find ingredients
Purchase rice, water, and eggs at your local grocery store. Chicken bouillon cubes, peeled tomatoes, tomato paste, grated cheese, chopped ham, and mozzarella cheese can also be found at most supermarkets. Check the dairy and deli sections for cheeses and ham.
Preparation method
- Dissolve one of the chicken bouillon cubes in a little hot water
- Place the peeled tomatoes, tomato paste, and dissolved bouillon in a blender
- Blend everything until a homogeneous sauce is obtained
- Cook the rice in a pot with the 4 cups of water and the other chicken bouillon cube for 15 minutes
- Lightly beat the eggs in a bowl
- Mix the grated cheese, chopped ham, and mozzarella into the bowl with the eggs
- Incorporate this mixture into the hot cooked rice
- Spread a portion of the tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish
- Spread the rice mixture over the sauce
- Cover the surface of the dish with the remaining sauce
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly
