1 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups sugar
500 g raw peanuts in shell
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups sugar
500 g raw peanuts in shell

Where to find ingredients
You can find raw peanuts, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and baking powder at any major supermarket or grocery store in Australia. Strong brewed coffee can be made at home using your favourite ground coffee. Look for raw peanuts in the baking or snacks aisle.
Preparation method
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar with the strong brewed coffee and place over medium heat
- Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the syrup begins to thicken
- Add the raw peanuts in shell, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and baking powder to the saucepan
- Mix all ingredients well in the hot syrup until the mixture starts to dry out and pull away from the bottom of the pan
- As soon as it reaches a dry consistency, remove the pan from the heat
- Pour the peanut mixture onto a greased baking tray
- Place in a preheated oven at a very low temperature (around 120°C) for approximately 15 minutes
- During the time in the oven, stir the peanuts occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even drying
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving or storing
