Simple and Delicious Coca-Cola Mousse

Ingredients

1 box pineapple-flavored jelly
2 boxes strawberry-flavored jelly
2 cups boiling water
2 cups chilled Coca-Cola
1 can light cream (drained of excess whey)

Where to find ingredients

You can find most of these ingredients at any local supermarket. For the jelly boxes, check the dessert or baking aisle. The light cream is typically found in the canned goods or baking section; ensure you drain off the thin liquid (whey) at the top of the can for the best consistency. If you struggle to find specifically branded light cream, any heavy or thickened cream can be used, though it will be richer.

Preparation method

  1. Dissolve the pineapple jelly in 1 cup of boiling water and set it aside
  2. Dissolve both boxes of strawberry jelly together in 1 cup of boiling water and set them aside
  3. Add the light cream, the prepared pineapple jelly, and the chilled Coca-Cola to a blender
  4. Blend all the ingredients thoroughly until you have a smooth, well-combined mixture
  5. Pour the mixture into a mold (rinsed with cold water to make it easier to turn out later) or into individual serving bowls
  6. Pop it into the fridge for about 3 hours, or until it has set firmly
  7. Carefully turn it out if using a mold, and garnish as you like before serving

Observations

This Coca-Cola mousse is an incredibly easy and surprisingly tasty dessert, ideal for when you need something simple yet impressive. It perfectly captures the classic fizz of Coca-Cola with the fruity sweetness of the jellies, creating a light, airy texture that everyone loves. It is a popular, fuss-free treat to finish off a meal or to serve at family get-togethers. You can easily prep it ahead of time and serve it in individual glasses or one large dish to share.
