Easy and Refreshing Coca-Cola Mousse

Ingredients

1 box pineapple flavored gelatin
2 boxes strawberry flavored gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 cups chilled Coca-Cola
1 can light table cream (drained of whey)

Where to find ingredients

You can find most of these ingredients in any local grocery store. Gelatin boxes are standard in the baking aisle. For the table cream, look for 'table cream' or 'canned cream' in the international or Latin foods section; if you cannot find it, a heavy whipping cream can serve as a substitute, though the texture will be slightly different. The soda is readily available in any beverage aisle.

Preparation method

  1. Dissolve the pineapple gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water and set aside
  2. Dissolve both boxes of strawberry gelatin together in 1 cup of boiling water and set aside
  3. Pour the light table cream, the dissolved pineapple gelatin, and the chilled Coca-Cola into a blender
  4. Blend all the ingredients well until you have a smooth, homogeneous mixture
  5. Pour the mixture into a mold (lightly rinsed with cold water to make unmolding easier) or individual dessert glasses
  6. Refrigerate for approximately 3 hours, or until the mousse is firmly set
  7. Unmold carefully if using a large mold, and garnish to taste before serving

Observations

This Coca-Cola mousse is an incredibly simple dessert that hits the spot when you need something sweet without spending hours in the kitchen. It brings together the familiar fizz of Coca-Cola and the fruity sweetness of gelatin, creating a light, aerated texture that everyone loves. It’s a classic crowd-pleaser for ending meals or serving at get-togethers, and since it can be prepped ahead of time, it works just as well in individual ramekins or a shared serving dish.
