440 g sugar

Where to find ingredients
You can find all these ingredients at your local supermarket, typically in the baking aisle for flour, baking powder, and sugar, and in the dairy or chilled section for the yoghurt and eggs.
Preparation method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Grease a tin with butter and sprinkle with caster sugar to ensure a crunchy crust
- Set the prepared tin aside
- In a blender, add the eggs, yoghurt, oil, and baking powder
- Blend well until the mixture is homogeneous
- Add the sugar little by little, blending constantly
- Add the flour gradually and blend until you get a smooth and well-mixed batter
- Pour the batter into the previously greased and sugared tin
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean
- Wait for the cake to cool down completely before turning it out so it does not break
Observations
The yoghurt cake is one of those staple recipes everyone should have in their collection. Because it uses plain yoghurt, the crumb remains extremely moist and soft, ensuring an irresistible result. Making it in a blender saves a lot of time for those who don't want to spend too long in the kitchen. For a special touch, you can add lemon or orange zest to the batter. Remember to always sift the flour to keep the cake light.
