Pressure Cooker Lentils with Cumin

Method
- Chop the onion and garlic into small pieces
- Heat the olive oil in the pressure cooker over medium heat
- Sauté the onion with a pinch of salt until lightly golden
- Add the minced garlic
- Add the cumin and bay leaf
- Sauté for about one minute to release the aroma of the spices
- Add the lentils
- Season with black pepper and one teaspoon of salt
- Mix well to coat the lentils with the seasonings
- Pour the water into the pot
- Close the lid and turn up the heat
- As soon as the pot reaches pressure and starts to whistle
- Reduce the heat to the lowest setting
- Cook for 5 minutes
- Turn off the heat
- Allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the lid
- Serve the lentils hot
