Where to find ingredients
You can find fresh whole beef ribs and basic pantry staples at local markets or supermarkets like CPL, Brian Bell Home & Electrical (grocery section), or neighborhood butchers for quality beef cuts.
Preparation method
- Season the slabs of beef ribs with the crushed garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
- Place the seasoned meat into a roasting pan.
- Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
- Place in a preheated oven at medium heat (approximately 180°C/350°F) and roast for 3 hours.
- Remove the aluminum foil.
- Continue roasting, turning the meat occasionally and basting with the beef stock (if using) or the pan juices, until well browned.
- If the pan drippings dry out, add a little boiling water to prevent sticking and to develop more gravy.
Observations
Slow-roasted beef ribs are a comforting, flavorful dish ideal for family gatherings and celebrations. This recipe uses whole cuts of beef ribs, roasted until they achieve a melt-in-the-mouth texture with a savory, golden-brown crust. While it requires patience, the process is remarkably simple, relying on essential seasonings that highlight the natural richness of the beef.
