Where to find ingredients
You can find fresh beef cuts at your local butcher or grocery store meat counter. Pantry staples like flour, breadcrumbs, garlic, and eggs are available at any supermarket in the baking or produce aisles.
Preparation method
- Season the steaks with salt, black pepper and crushed garlic if using
- Allow the meat to rest for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavours
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined
- Prepare two shallow plates: one with flour and one with breadcrumbs
- Dredge each steak in flour, lightly coating both sides
- Dip the seasoned steak into the beaten egg mixture
- Transfer the steak to the plate with breadcrumbs, pressing down to coat the entire surface evenly
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat
- Fry the breaded steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown
- Remove the steaks from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil
Observations
Use tender cuts of beef to ensure the interior remains juicy while the exterior achieves the perfect golden crunch. It is an excellent choice for a practical, flavorful, and satisfying meal.
