Where to find ingredients

Preparation
- Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl
- Make a well in the center of the flour
- Add the oil or lard along with the vinegar
- Gradually pour in the warm water
- Incorporate the ingredients with your hands until the dough stops sticking to your fingers
- Transfer the dough to a smooth surface
- Knead vigorously until it becomes soft and smooth
- If the dough feels too stiff, add a few drops of water
- If you notice it is sticking, sprinkle with a little more flour
- Cover the dough with a clean cloth
- Let it rest for 20 minutes
- Roll the dough out with a rolling pin until it is very thin
- Cut into your desired sizes and shapes
- Distribute your preferred filling over the pieces
- Press the edges firmly to seal and prevent them from opening during frying
- Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown
- Drain any excess oil and serve immediately
Notes
For perfectly crispy pastries that aren't greasy, the secret is to knead the dough thoroughly and roll it out very thinly before frying.
