Pressure Cooker Milk Sweet: Easy Recipe

Ingredients

1 can (395g) condensed milk

Where to find ingredients

Condensed milk is available in supermarkets and local grocery stores across Kenya.

Preparation method

  1. Remove the paper label from the condensed milk can
  2. With a small knife, remove any glue residue to avoid blocking the cooker's valve
  3. Place the condensed milk can inside the pressure cooker
  4. Add water to the cooker until the can is covered, leaving about two fingers of water above it
  5. Close the pressure cooker and place it on medium heat
  6. As soon as the cooker starts to hiss (whistle), reduce the heat if necessary and cook for 20 minutes
  7. Turn off the heat and let the steam escape naturally. Do not force the steam out
  8. When all the pressure has escaped, carefully open the cooker lid
  9. Use tongs to remove the hot can from the cooker, avoiding burns
  10. Let the can cool completely for at least 2 hours before opening
  11. For best results, prepare the milk sweet the day before consuming
