Where to find ingredients
Eggs, milk, oil, flour, tomatoes, and onions are readily available at any local supermarket or fresh produce market in Botswana. Mozzarella and ham can be found in the deli or chilled dairy section of most major grocery stores. For the grated cheese, you can use any local hard cheese, like a matured cheddar, found in the dairy aisle. Baking powder and dried oregano are standard pantry items available in the baking and spice sections of any grocery store.
Preparation method
- Place the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, wheat flour, baking powder, and salt into a blender
- Whizz everything together until you have a smooth, pourable batter
- Lightly grease a baking tin with a little butter
