Where to find ingredients
Find fresh shrimp, aromatics, and produce at local fish markets and grocery stores. Cassava and palm oil (dendê) can be sourced at specialty tropical food markets. If unavailable, yucca is a suitable substitute for cassava, and extra virgin olive oil with a pinch of annatto can act as a mild substitute for palm oil, though the original ingredients are recommended for authenticity.
Preparation method
- Wash the shrimp thoroughly
