Where to find ingredients
Eggs, milk, sugar, margarine, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and chocolate are widely available in the baking aisle of most supermarkets. Condensed milk is typically found in the dairy or international foods section of supermarkets, or in Latin/Hispanic grocery stores. If you cannot find condensed milk, it is difficult to substitute and would fundamentally change the recipe's texture and sweetness.
Preparation method
- Start by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Place the eggs, milk, condensed milk, sugar, margarine, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and baking powder in a blender and blend well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
- Prepare a round cake pan, approximately 9 inches (22cm) in diameter, by lightly greasing it with margarine
- Pour only half of the batter into the pan and spread the chopped chocolate over it
- Finish by covering everything with the remaining batter
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and well-baked
- Remove from the oven, let the cake cool slightly, and carefully unmold to serve
Observations
This is a very practical recipe, ideal for those looking for a tasty dessert made quickly in the blender. The use of condensed milk in the batter ensures a special texture and an extra touch of sweetness.
