Where to find ingredients
All ingredients can be found at local supermarkets. Condensed milk is usually located in the baking aisle. Cornflour is the standard New Zealand term for maize-based starch; ensure it is used for thickening and baking.
Preparation method
- Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C.
- Place the eggs, milk, condensed milk, sugar, margarine, flour, cornflour, and baking powder into a blender and process well until you obtain a smooth mixture.
- Prepare a cake tin approximately 22cm in diameter, greasing it lightly with margarine.
- Pour only half of the batter into the tin and spread the chopped chocolate over it.
- Finish by covering everything with the remaining batter.
- Bake in the oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden and fully cooked through.
- Remove from the oven, wait for the cake to cool slightly, and unmould with care to serve.
Observations
This is a very practical recipe, ideal for those seeking a tasty dessert prepared quickly in a blender. The use of condensed milk in the batter ensures a special texture and an extra touch of sweetness.
