Where to find ingredients
Fresh produce can be found at local markets or general food stores that carry imported staples. If specific items are unavailable, standard seasonal root vegetables such as parsnips or sweet potatoes can be used as alternatives to carrots.
Preparation method
- Preheat your oven to 220°C.
- Wash the cauliflower florets in a bowl of water.
- Remove the florets from the water with your hands, leaving any sediment at the bottom of the bowl.
- Drain the cauliflower well in a colander.
- Scrub the radishes thoroughly under running water.
- Dry the radishes and slice them in half, or into quarters if they are large.
- Peel the carrots and slice them in half crosswise.
- Cut the thinner section of the carrots into four lengthwise sticks.
- Cut the thicker section of the carrots into six lengthwise sticks.
- Arrange all the vegetables on a large baking sheet.
- Drizzle the vegetables with the olive oil.
- Sprinkle with the paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Toss everything together well to ensure every piece is evenly coated with the oil and spices.
- Spread the vegetables across the baking sheet, leaving enough space between them to ensure they roast evenly and get nicely browned.
- Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes.
- Turn the vegetables with a spatula halfway through the cooking time to ensure they brown on all sides.
- Remove from the oven as soon as they are tender and golden.
- Serve immediately.
