Ingredients

2 tablespoons sugar (for the syrup)
3 stale bread rolls
500 ml milk
3 whole eggs
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest

  5. Beat the milk with the eggs and 2 cups of sugar in a blender until you get a homogeneous mixture
  6. Incorporate the lemon zest into the liquid
  7. Pour the mixture over the bread pieces in the mold
  8. Bake in a preheated oven in a water bath for 30 minutes
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before carefully unmolding
