Ingredients
2 artichokes
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp white wine vinegar
Salt, to taste
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp white wine vinegar
Salt, to taste
Where to find ingredients
Look for artichokes in the produce section, and buy butter, white wine vinegar, and salt in the dairy aisle and pantry staples section. If needed, apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute for white wine vinegar.
Preparation method
- Trim off the artichoke stem if it is attached
- Place the artichokes upside down inside the pressure cooker
- The leaves should face the bottom of the pot
- Add water until the artichokes are covered
- Do not exceed the maximum fill line of your cooker
- Close the cooker and bring it to high heat
- Reduce to low heat as soon as the cooker starts to whistle
- Cook for 10 minutes under pressure
- Prepare the sauce by melting the butter in the microwave
- Combine the melted butter with two tablespoons of water and the vinegar
- Add salt to taste and mix well
- Turn off the heat after the cooking time is up
- Wait until the pressure has fully released before opening
- Remove the artichokes and serve with the prepared sauce
Observations
Artichokes are an elegant, delicious vegetable. The pressure method speeds up the cooking, making this dish a practical choice for everyday meals. Serving them with a simple butter sauce highlights the natural flavour of the leaves.
