Picanha: Look for this cut in the beef section of most supermarkets. Specialty butcher shops and Brazilian or Latin American markets are also excellent sources. If unavailable, a top sirloin cap or a well-marbled sirloin steak can be a substitute.
Coarse Salt: Available in the salt or spice aisle of most supermarkets. It's also known as kosher salt or sea salt in some regions.
Garlic: Fresh garlic is available in the produce section of all supermarkets. You can mince it yourself or purchase pre-minced garlic.

- Prepare the barbecue with a medium heat coal bed
- Place the picanha on the grill about 60 cm from the heat, with the fat side facing up
