Where to find ingredients

You can find chicken fillets, fresh lemons, and dairy products at your local supermarket's poultry and fresh produce sections. Mozzarella and parmesan can be found in the deli or refrigerated cheese aisles. If you cannot find pre-grated parmesan, any hard cow's milk cheese can serve as a substitute.

Preparation method

  1. Season the chicken fillets with lemon juice and black pepper.
  2. Place each fillet between two sheets of cling film.
  3. Gently flatten the fillets using a meat mallet.
  4. Remove the cling film from the fillets.
  5. Arrange the fillets on a baking tray.
  6. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the tray from the oven.
  8. Pour the tomato sauce over each fillet.
  9. Top the fillets with the slices of mozzarella cheese.
  10. Sprinkle the oregano and grated parmesan over the cheese layer.
