Preparation method
- Prepare the caramel by melting the 2 tablespoons of sugar in a large bundt pan
- Spread the caramel evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan
- Cut the rolls into slices approximately 2 cm thick
- Arrange the bread slices in the bottom of the caramel-lined pan
- Beat the milk with the eggs and 2 cups of sugar in a blender until smooth
- Stir the lemon zest into the liquid
- Pour the mixture over the bread pieces in the pan
- Bake in a preheated oven in a water bath for 30 minutes
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before carefully unmolding
