4 eggs
2 cups (tea) sugar
3 tablespoons (soup) margarine
1 cup (tea) milk
2 cups (tea) wheat flour
1 cup (tea) fine cornmeal
4 teaspoons (tea) baking powder

Preparation

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form in an electric mixer
  2. Add the sugar while continuing to beat
  3. Add the egg yolks
  4. Add the margarine
  5. Pour in the milk
  6. Add the wheat flour and the cornmeal
  7. Continue beating until you obtain a homogeneous batter
  8. Gently fold in the baking powder using a spoon or spatula
  9. Transfer the mixture to a previously greased cake pan
  10. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F)
  11. Bake for about 30 minutes
