4 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons margarine
1 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal
4 teaspoons baking powder

Preparation

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form
  2. Add the sugar while continuing to beat
  3. Add the egg yolks
  4. Add the margarine
  5. Pour in the milk

  7. Continue beating until the batter is smooth
  8. Gently fold in the baking powder using a spoon or spatula
  9. Transfer the mixture to a previously greased pan
  10. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C
  11. Bake for about 30 minutes
