Preparation method
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form in a mixer
- Add the sugar while continuing to beat
- Add the egg yolks
- Add the margarine
- Add the milk
- Add the all-purpose flour and cornmeal
- Continue beating until a homogeneous batter is obtained
- Gently incorporate the baking powder using a spoon or spatula
- Transfer the mixture to a greased cake pan
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F)
