Bean Soup

Ingredients

3 cups cooked and seasoned beans
3 cups water
2 tomatoes, chopped (skin and seeds included)
1 medium potato, cut into small cubes
Salt and black pepper to taste

Where to find ingredients

Cooked beans can be found in the canned goods aisle of most supermarkets. If making from scratch, dried beans are available in the dried goods aisle. Tomatoes and potatoes are staple produce items found in the produce section of any grocery store. Salt and pepper are common seasonings available in the spice aisle.

Preparation method

  1. Place the beans, water, and tomatoes in a blender
  2. Blend well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
  3. Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan
  4. Add the potato cubes
  5. Cook over medium heat until the potatoes are tender
  6. Check the consistency and add a little more water if you want a thinner soup
  7. Taste the broth to adjust salt if needed
  8. Finish with black pepper to taste and serve immediately

Observations

This soup is the perfect solution for using up leftover beans, transforming them into a nutritious and flavorful dish for colder days.
