Where to find ingredients
Condensed milk, heavy cream, and coconut milk are widely available in the dairy or international sections of most major supermarkets. Unflavored gelatin can be found in the baking aisle. If you wish to make this recipe truly authentic, stewed prunes are often available in Latin or specialty food stores, or sometimes in the international aisle of larger supermarkets. If unavailable, you can substitute with other stewed fruits like peaches or apricots.
Preparation method
- Combine the condensed milk, heavy cream, and coconut milk in a blender
- Dissolve the unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup of warm water
- Add the dissolved gelatin to the blender with the other ingredients
- Blend for 5 to 8 minutes until smooth
- Grease a mold with a little oil
- Pour the mixture into the greased mold
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm
- To serve, unmold the pudding onto a serving dish
- Serve with stewed prunes in syrup
