Preparation method
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, coconut milk, and shredded coconut
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a small reserved amount of milk
- Add the dissolved cornstarch to the mixture in the saucepan
- Cook over medium heat
- Stir constantly until the cream thickens
- Cook for one more minute after it starts to boil
- Pour the mixture into a decorative mold that has been lightly oiled or just moistened with water
- Allow the dessert to cool
- Refrigerate for 2 hours to set
- Unmold and serve with plum sauce or strawberry sauce
