Ingredients

4.4 lbs large shrimp, with shells (or 2.2 lbs peeled)
Juice of 2 limes
Salt to taste
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small can extra virgin olive oil
2 medium onions, chopped
4 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
1 ½ tablespoons annatto powder (colorau)
1 (17.6 oz) can tomato sauce with basil and parsley flavor
2 tablespoons beef flavored powder seasoning
15 basil leaves, chopped
7 oz butter
8.8 oz cream cheese
1 can (13.5 oz) evaporated milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 bunches cilantro, chopped
2 bunches green onions, chopped

Preparation method

  11. Stir in the chopped cilantro and green onions
  12. Turn off the heat and incorporate the evaporated milk
  13. Stir gently until a homogeneous sauce is achieved
