Ingredients

1 kg salted cod (bacalhau)
1/2 kg potatoes
1/2 kg carrots
2 large onions
2 ripe red tomatoes
1 bell pepper
Olives to taste
Minced garlic to taste
Chopped cilantro to taste
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Coconut milk to taste
Olive oil to taste
2 cups milk
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 egg
1/2 cup heavy cream
Nutmeg to taste
Black pepper to taste
Salt to taste

Method

  1. Soak the cod for 24 hours
  2. Change the water regularly to remove excess salt
  3. Boil the cod briefly
  4. Discard the skin and bones

  6. Separate the fish into flakes

  8. Add salt and cilantro
  9. Sauté the sliced onions in a pan with a little olive oil
