Easy and Delicious Heart of Palm Pie

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 and 1/2 cups mayonnaise
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
1 to 3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium grated onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
100g chopped black olives
300g chopped heart of palm
1 chopped tomato
Fresh herbs to taste
1 box heavy cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Salt to taste
1 egg yolk for brushing

Preparation method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, mayonnaise, eggs, and salt

  4. Add the chopped bell peppers, chopped heart of palm, chopped olives, and chopped tomato
  5. Cook over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally

  11. In a pie dish, line the bottom and sides with half of the dough

  13. Cover the pie with the remaining dough, sealing the edges well
  14. Brush the surface with the beaten egg yolk
  15. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 50 minutes, or until golden brown
