Where to find ingredients
Noodles: Look for spaghetti in the pasta aisle of any supermarket. Size #8 is a common thickness.
Meat: Thinly sliced beef, chicken, or pork can be found pre-cut in the meat section of most supermarkets. You can also buy a larger cut and slice it thinly yourself.
Vegetables: Japanese broccoli (also known as broccolini) is often found in the fresh produce section of larger supermarkets or specialty grocery stores. If unavailable, regular broccoli florets can be substituted. Carrots, bell peppers, and onions are standard supermarket produce.
Broth Cubes: Vegetable and beef bouillon cubes are available in the soup or international aisle of most supermarkets.
Sauces: Prepared yakisoba sauce and soy sauce are commonly found in the international foods aisle of supermarkets. Worcestershire sauce is also widely available. In areas with a significant Asian population, you might find a wider selection in Asian or specialty markets.
Cornstarch: Found in the baking or international aisle of supermarkets.
Mushrooms: Sliced mushrooms are available in the produce section of most supermarkets.
