Preparation method
- Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly, dry them carefully, and chop them finely
- In a pot, add water and bring it to a boil
- Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for a few minutes until pink
- Remove and set aside
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brandy, and heavy cream
- Chop most of the cooked shrimp into smaller pieces
- Reserve a few whole shrimp for garnish
- Add the chopped shrimp to the sauce mixture and incorporate gently
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste
- In individual glasses, place a layer of ice at the bottom
- Over the ice, add a portion of chopped lettuce
- Add a generous portion of the shrimp sauce over the lettuce
- Decorate each glass with the reserved whole shrimp
- Serve the shrimp cocktail immediately while it is very cold
