Ingredients

2 cakes of fresh baker's yeast
1/2 cup (tea) of milk
100 g of margarine
3 boiled and mashed potatoes
2 eggs
Salt to taste
Wheat flour until the dough reaches the right consistency for kneading
Semi-soft mild cheese for filling

Where to find ingredients

You can find fresh yeast, potatoes, flour, dairy, and semi-soft cheese at most local grocery stores, supermarkets, or farmers' markets.

Preparation

  1. Mix the yeast, milk, margarine, potatoes, eggs, and salt in a large bowl
  2. Gradually add the wheat flour
  3. Work the dough well until it becomes homogeneous and soft
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest until it doubles in volume
  5. Divide the dough into small portions and shape into rolls
  6. Place a piece of cheese inside each unit and seal well
  7. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet and wait for them to rise again
  8. Brush an egg yolk over the surface of the rolls
  9. Place in a preheated oven until they are golden brown

Notes

A practical homemade recipe, ideal for a snack or afternoon coffee. The secret lies in the dough consistency and the resting time to ensure the rolls stay fluffy.
