Where to find ingredients
Milk, oil, sugar, salt, eggs, and all-purpose flour are readily available in the dairy, baking, and produce sections of any supermarket. Fresh yeast can often be found in the refrigerated section of larger supermarkets or at bakeries. If fresh yeast is unavailable, you can substitute it with an equivalent amount of active dry yeast (typically about 1/3 the amount of fresh yeast), proofed in warm water with a pinch of sugar before adding to the recipe. Breadcrumbs are available in the baking aisle of most supermarkets.
Preparation method
- Start by blending the milk, yeast, oil, sugar, salt, and eggs in a blender until you have a homogeneous mixture
- Transfer the liquid to a bowl and gradually add the flour, kneading well until the dough is smooth
- Divide the prepared dough into two equal parts
- Place each part in a greased and breadcrumb-dusted mold
- Set the molds aside in a protected place and let the dough rest until it doubles in volume
- Microwave for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on your appliance's power
- As soon as the cooking time is up, unmold the bread by inverting it onto a plate
- The recipe yields two medium loaves
