Flour, vegetable shortening, salt, ground beef, and eggs can be found in most supermarkets.
Guarana soda and various seasonings can be purchased at most grocery stores or specialty Latin American markets.

Preparation method
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, vegetable shortening, and salt
- Gradually add the chilled guarana soda and mix until a homogeneous dough forms that holds together
- Do not over-knead
- Divide the dough into portions and roll out each portion to assemble the pastries, forming discs
- Prepare the filling by mixing the ground beef with salt and your preferred seasonings
- Do not cook the meat beforehand
- Place the filling on one half of each dough disc and fold over to form the pastries
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet
- Brush the surface of each pastry with the egg yolk
- Bake in a preheated oven at high temperature (approximately 200°C)
- Bake until the pastries are golden brown and the dough is cooked through
- To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into one of them
- if it comes out clean and the dough is baked, they are ready
