Preparation
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites
- In a cold saucepan combine the milk and the egg yolks passed through a fine-mesh sieve
- Add the cocoa-based powdered drink mix and the sweetened condensed milk
- Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes
- Stir continuously until a thick cream forms
- Remove the pan from the heat
- Incorporate the ground walnuts and the heavy cream
- Add the dissolved unflavored gelatin
- Gently fold in the whipped egg whites until the mixture is homogeneous
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish
- Place in the freezer for approximately 2 hours until it reaches a mousse consistency
- Monitor carefully to prevent the mixture from freezing solid
- Decorate the surface with whole walnuts before serving
